Flowers/Ghosts & Echoes

Flowers/Ghosts & Echoes is an experimental audio-visual trio from The Hague, featuring two electric guitars and live, hand-crafted visuals. The group combines slow-moving, atmospheric soundscapes. Think drones, post-rock textures, noise elements, and minimalist repetition, with a unique visual performance.

Guitarists Gonçalo Oliveira and James A.-McEwan improvise rich, layered instrumentals that drift between calm and chaos. Meanwhile, Felix Bodin creates immersive visuals in real time using a custom setup of digital projections and a handheld, flexible mirror. The result: shifting waves of light and patterns that move with the music. Sometimes gentle and meditative, other times wild and unpredictable.

Expect a performance that blurs the line between sound and sight, offering an experience that’s as much about feeling as it is about listening or watching.

tzZiiiY

tzZiiiY is a performance by performer/dancer Maria Mavridou and guitar player Arvind Ganga that goes beyond movement and sound, feeding on uncertainty in pursuit of intensity. Both are committed to an uncompromising, moment-to-moment search for intensity – a ‘tzZiiiY’ – that is felt and that resonates.

Engaging intuitively with the atmosphere of the gathered audience and the room, they hand each other full permission and push themselves to the edge in a desire to overcome their limits. With often radically different attitudes and ways, the two reveal the wilderness, awkwardness, devastation, fragility and humor of their co-existence. At the same time, they both let things happen naturally, allowing sounds and movements to come together into short-lived works of art.

Dan Gibson + tschnz

Dan Gibson is a Hague-based cellist, instrument designer and electronic musician, who often releases his music under the name ‘noisesinthenight’. Live, he uses a modified cello of his own design, adapting and augmenting the design of traditional cello with knobs and controls to manipulate live electronics designed by himself.

This setup narrows the gap between the acoustic and electronic soundworlds, allowing the creation of rich aural textures, lush ambient soundscapes, and also moments of distorted and drony post-rock elements.

tschnz

Jens W. Schindel, aka tschnz, is a digital artist and software developer from southern Germany, now based in Scheveningen, Den Haag. For over 10 years, he’s been creating audio-reactive visuals in independent venues and clubs across a wide range of music scenes. His installations and live performances are an immersive play of rhythm, technology and art.
