Techno-Ancestrality is een tentoonstelling over technologie, voorouderlijke kennis en collectief geheugen. Aan de hand van textiel, schrift, keramiek, beeld, geluid en data laat de tentoonstelling zien hoe kennis zich verplaatst, aanpast en blijvend vorm krijgt. Zo ontstaat een breder beeld van technologie: niet als verhaal van versnelde vooruitgang, volledig verbonden aan het digitale of het industriële, maar ook als iets dat geworteld is in praktijken die al lange tijd het collectieve leven dragen.
Techno-Ancestrality laat zien dat de middelen die onze toekomst vormgeven verbonden blijven met oudere vormen van kennis, en dat die toekomst niet los te zien is van degenen die haar al die tijd hebben gedragen.
In de tentoonstelling is werk te zien van Artcom Platform, Mounir Fatmi, Voluspa Jarpa, Kongo Astronauts, Inty Muenala Vega & Yauri Muenala Vega, Navid Nuur en Russell Watson.
Bezoekers zijn welkom van woensdag t/m zondag in IMPAKT Centre for Media Culture (Lange Nieuwstraat 4, Utrecht). Openingstijden: 12:00-18:00.

Techno-Ancestrality is an exhibition about technology, ancestral knowledge, and collective memory. Through textile, script, ceramics, image, sound, and data, the exhibition shows how knowledge moves, adapts, and takes lasting form. In doing so, it offers a broader view of technology: not as a story of accelerated progress tied exclusively to the digital or the industrial, but also as something rooted in practices that have long sustained collective life.
Techno-Ancestrality shows how the tools shaping our future remain connected to older forms of knowledge, and how that future cannot be separated from those who have sustained it all along.

Visitors are welcome Wednesday through Sunday at IMPAKT Centre for Media Culture (Lange Nieuwstraat 4, Utrecht). Open: 12:00-18:00
